Out-Of-State Grant
Must be a resident of a state other than Ohio. Renewable for four years.
UCC Grant
Member of the United Church of Christ. Letter of recommendation from minister. Renewable for four years.
UCC Ministerial Grant
Children of ordained UCC ministers and full time missionaries. Based on need. Renewable for four years.
Alumni Family Grant
Must have a family member who graduated from Heidelberg. Renewable for four years.
University Grant, Amounts vary
Must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have exceptional need.
Pell Grant
Need based on FAFSA analysis. Federal government determines eligibility. Amounts vary following federal guidelines. More information available.
Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
Need based on FAFSA analysis. Limited to students who are Pell Grant eligible. Awards are typically $500 per year.
The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant/Loan
Must file the FAFSA, currently completing coursework necessary to begin a career in teaching in a “high-need” field, have at least a cumulative 3.25 GPA for each payment period; or have a score above the 75th percentile on an admissions test, such as the SAT, ACT or GRE. Up to $4,000 per year ($16,000 total) for undergraduate students and $4,000 per academic year ($8,000 total) for graduate students. Must agree to teach full time for four years in a Title I school serving low-income students or the grant turns into a Direct Unsubsidized Loan with interest charged from the date of original disbursement.
